Why Tallow?

Tallow, a form of rendered beef fat/suet, is a wildly successful ancient skincare remedy, used primarily for deep hydration and its anti-inflammatory properties to calm redness, acne & promote healthy, glowing skin.  It's non-comedogenic, making it less likely to clog pores, and nutrient-dense, due to its plentiful fatty acids like CLA + stearic acid, antioxidants, bioavailable vitamins, all of which will reverse damage, deeply moisturize & restore our skin barrier. Tallow's natural compatibility heals our skin on a cellular level & leaves skin hydrated & radiant!

A nourishing tallow base, sourced locally from a beautiful regenerative Colorado ranch, carefully dry-rendered and combined with organic non-comedogenic jojoba oil, for its high concentration of vitamin E, anti-inflammatory & cleansing properties, as well as a rich organic castor oil, for its antimicrobial properties and rejuvenating antioxidants.

Shelf life: Best if kept at room temperature but may be stored in fridge. Good for ~ 1 year. 
*Note for our chapsticks: Please do not leave directly in the sun or in hot areas like parked cars; this balm doesn't contain synthetic waxes so it's more prone to melting & can leak from this tube.

Tallow information:

We meticulously dry-render our beef suet (meaning we remove the impurities without the use of salt/water, to preserve is amazing nutrient-dense form). We purposely source the kidney fat from a local, regenerative ranch in Colorado with the highest quality standards. It is grass-fed and grass-finished; free from harmful additives and preservatives that may be found in conventional tallow.
No two cattle are alike; color, consistency & scent may vary due to the unique and natural variations in each batch. Very slight "beef" aroma may be present but should dissipate upon application.
*Please know that fat/oils melt & solidify with temperature fluctuation and can lead to the formation of tiny, bead-like grains in our balms; rest assured, this is normal & will not affect the balm's quality or safety for use.
