Why tallow?

Tallow, a form of rendered beef fat/suet, is a wildly successful & transformative ancient skincare remedy, used primarily for intense hydration and restoring the skin barrier at a cellular level, leaving skin supple & radiant!
It's nutrient-dense and luxurious, packed with healthy fatty acids like CLA + stearic acid, rejuvenating antioxidants, and bioavailable vitamins A, D, E, and K; a naturally potent emollient known for locking in moisture to improve dryness, minimizing acne + redness, smoothing fine lines, and reversing damage caused by environmental stressors & free radicals.
It's as versatile as it is nourishing, calming yet incredibly effective; a completely natural, all-purpose, non-comedogenic, anti-inflammatory & antimicrobial moisturizer for face & body. May help improve the following skin concerns: dryness, acne, redness, fine lines + wrinkles, scarring, discoloration, and eczema.
We take pride in sourcing our beef suet from a beautiful, local ranch here in Durango, Colorado that practices regenerative farming, ensuring a positive impact on the environment. Their grass-fed, pasture-raised cattle live their best lives on a clean diet of grasses and plants, free from hormones, antibiotics & pesticides.
To purify the suet, we use a dry-rendering method which involves slowing melting and straining it on its own over multiple days to remove any remaining impurities. *Many other companies choose to use a wet-rendering method that involves salt and water to essentially cleanse the suet to remove any odors; we find this process to be too harsh in that it can potentially strip the tallow of its own natural, nutrient-dense form.
In an effort to strengthen the skin-healing aspects of each product, we blend our tallow with organic, plant-based oils that have been slowly solar-infused with various botanicals; the herbs and flowers we use are the highest quality, organic or wild-harvested, and are specifically added for their individual skin-healing properties.
We craft slow-made + small-batch skincare so we can help heal our bodies and minds, naturally.
