We blended jojoba oil, a plant-based liquid wax that's rich in vitamin E, with carrot seed oil thats not only packed with carotenoids & antioxidants, but provides broad-spectrum protection & amazing restorative properties; its SPF is around 40 on its own.
Non-nano zinc oxide, a gentle mineral powder, offers both broad spectrum UVA + UVB protection. It acts as a barrier on the skin but doesn't enter the bloodstream like smaller particles could; safe for all skin types & environmentally safe as well!

Shelf life: Best if kept at room temperature but may be stored in fridge. Good for ~ 1 year.
*Note for our chapsticks: Please do not leave directly in the sun or in hot areas like parked cars; this balm doesn't contain synthetic waxes so it's more prone to melting & can leak from this tube.

We meticulously dry-render our beef suet (meaning we remove the impurities without the use of salt/water, to preserve is amazing nutrient-dense form). We purposely source the kidney fat from a local, regenerative ranch in Colorado with the highest quality standards. It is grass-fed and grass-finished; free from harmful additives and preservatives that may be found in conventional tallow.
No two cattle are alike; color, consistency & scent may vary due to the unique and natural variations in each batch. Very slight "beef" aroma may be present but should dissipate upon application.
*Please know that fat/oils melt & solidify with temperature fluctuation and can lead to the formation of tiny, bead-like grains in our balms; rest assured, this is normal & will not affect the balm's quality or safety for use.
